Description
Height 8-10” Ferny mound of blue-green foliage bears stalks of clustered pantaloons-shaped fragrant flowers. This unique plant gets its common name from the peculiar blooms that look like breeches hanging. This plant’s bulbs need to be planted in acidic, moist soil in partial shade. The best time to plant them is in the late spring. The flowers then appear next spring; the plant is a perennial. Easy to grow native woodland plant in moist, humus-rich soil. Blooms in the early spring, deer and rabbit resistant, pollinator friendly. Zones 4-9.
