Description
(Quercus alba) The hardiest of North American oak species, these trees are seedlings of vigorous producers of large, low-tannin acorns. Sun Lover: They need full sun to grow strong and produce well. Soil Flexible: Whether your garden boasts sandy, clay, or loamy soil, the Burr Oak adapts and thrives. pH Friendly: It’s not fussy about soil pH, happily growing in acidic, neutral, or alkaline environments. Low Tannin, Heavy Yields: The mother trees we collect seed from have been selected for low tannins and heavy yields making them perfect for feeding hogs or cattle. Zones 3-8
